Zinedine Zidane - Juventus 1996/97 home shirt M 🇫🇷
Zinedine Zidane arrived at Juventus in the summer of 1996 as an exciting young midfielder from Bordeaux, and he would quickly prove to be a crucial player for the Italian giants. In his debut season in 1996/97, Zidane donned the iconic black and white home shirt and began his journey towards becoming one of the greatest in football history.
Juventus had just won the Champions League the previous season, and Zidane immediately brought his unique elegance and technical ability to the team, making him an indispensable part of the team. Under coaches such as Marcello Lippi, Zidane demonstrated his ability to control the pace of the game, make precise passes and create chances for stars such as Alessandro Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi.
In Serie A, Juventus had a strong season, securing the championship with Zidane's creativity in midfield being a key factor. The team also reached the final of the Champions League, but were beaten by Borussia Dortmund. Despite the defeat in the final, Zidane had already become a fan favorite and a key player for the "Old Lady."
The 1996/97 season was the start of an outstanding career in Turin, where Zidane developed into a global superstar and laid the foundation for the many triumphs that were to follow.
